September 21, 2006

Classwork
- Grade 7:
- Read and complete Lesson 2 (What is scientific method?) and Lesson 3 (How are experiments done safely?)
- Use at least one of the science safety symbols to make a science safety bumper sticker
- It should include some words (but not too many!) and should be colored in
- Grade 8:
- Complete Lesson 1 (How do scientists measure things?)
- Metric Measurement Diagram (Click here for a copy of the directions)
- Write the measurements of each side of each shape on the side of each shape (remember that a measurement is a number and the unit!)
Homework
- Grade 7:
- By, Friday, October 13th- if you want to have a song on the class CD, bring in a song with lyrics.
- Finish checking and correcting your 2 bar graphs by Thursday.
- Finish Lessons 2 & 3 and finish your bumper sticker.
- Grade 8:
- Finish Lesson 1 and finish the Metric Measurement Diagram
- By September 22, 2006, bring in an empty cereal box that is at least 11" tall and 4" wide (10 3/4" tall is okay, but no shorter!). The height measurements do not include the box flaps!
- By, Friday, October 13th- if you want to have a song on the class CD, bring in a song with lyrics.
